Fitbit, thinks my night is over when I get up in the night to pee. Apparently walking makes it think i'm done sleeping. It could be easily programmed to discount any time that I'm out of bed that's less than five minutes. Almost everyone gets up in the night and needs to walk to a bathroom, and maybe to a kitchen to get a drink of water, before going back to bed. Maybe some people get up at 3 o'clock in the morning and stay up, but there unusual. The usual pattern is to get up at 3 or 4 go to the bathroom maybe get a drink of water and go back to bed. Easy fix. Activity in the middle of the night, that lasts less than five minutes just doesn't register as sleep time over.
