Fitbit app version: 4.42.2 (I think this is current)
Charge 6 firmware: 214.24 (I think this is current)
Android: 14
I have a new Charge 6 which is losing connectivity with my Android phone on a daily basis. Relatively new to my environment is losing my phone's data connection due to a coverage issue. My phone successfully re-establishes data, or WiFi, connectivity on it's own.
Another thing I noted was after the initial Charge 6 pairing, sync, and firmware update, a message appeared on my phone regarding a "more secure bluetooth connection" (? or similar verbiage) but when I picked up my phone to better view the message I accidently responded to the message. I assume my choice was to activate this feature as I have not seen this message appear again.
My phone and app were operating normally with my previous Charge 4, although my Charge 4 likely had a different firmware version.
The Forget/Pair fix has worked to restore connectivity each time this occurs, although the daily frequency is quite inconvenient. e.g I "may" have paired my Charge 4 with my phone 3 times over the 5 years it was functioning.
Is anyone here experiencing this issue?
Does anyone here have a fix/workaround?
Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Upating that, last night I was able to restart my Fitbit and phone at the same time to workaround this. I will attempt this the next time I experience this no sync behavior.

I still have not determined what is truly causing the bluetooth connectivity to fail.
In my original post, I also should have specified actions I had tried to workaround this issue before trying the Forget/Pair procedure. I had cleared my Fitbit App cache, restarted my phone, and then restarted my Charge 6. Also tried restarting my Charge 6 and then restarting my phone. None of these resolved this issue each time it occurred. It was only the Forget/Pair procedure.
Back on topic, I validated today that restarting my Charge 6 and phone at the same time, does resolve this issue for me. Not as inconvenient as Forget/Pair procedure, but still something which did not occur with my Charge 4.

This may be my final update.
I *think* the root cause is an issue between my wifi connection and my VPN software, which is hanging VPN when both of these programs are managed automatically. I am noticing this wifi-VPN hang issue and having to restart my phone to resolve it. I am unsure exactly how this eventually impacts my Fitbit application, however I have not had the bluetooth sync issue occur and am never seeing the Phone Disconnected icon on my Charge 6.
The sequence is something like:
1) VPN stops operating normally
2) wifi connection stops operating normally
3) Eventually my Fitbit app stops operating normally, leading to the loss of bluetooth connectivity between my Fitbit app and my Charge 6.
I have been manually activating/deactivating wifi and VPN, and I have not observed the bluetooth sync issue since I started this.
If anything changes, or I find a permanent fix, I will update this post.
