Hearbeat Monitor

On my home screen where the clock is, it has the heart icon followed by 2 dashes....How do I get it to display my heart rate? Every so often it does but usually just 2 dashes. This thing is NOT very user friendly

Hi @KerryH67 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the heart rate reading of your Charge 6.

If you see some dashes instead your actual heart rate, it's possible that your device is not receiving a strong signal. I recommend that you take a look at our help article What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

I hope these suggestions will be helpful for you.

Hello @KerryH67

Do you see a green light on the back of your Charge 6? That's the heart rate sensor. You can check by placing your finger across the back of the device. You should see the green light when you lift your finger.

If you don't see the light, the first thing to check is that Heart rate is enabled in the Charge 6's Settings menu:

  • Swipe down from the clock face until you get to the Settings tile (last one) and tap on it
  • Swipe up to Heart rate and confirm that it's enabled. If not, tap on it to turn it back on

Please let us know if you are seeing your green light sensor.
