Hi, @Lisaderrick1975 , it is not possible to turn off any of the Fitbit “trackers” (that is any Fitbits in the Charge series, Inspire series, or Luxe). It is possible to turn off Fitbit “smart watches” (Sense and Versa series).
You have posted in the Charge 6 series, so assuming that is your device it is not possible to turn it off.
For ideal long term battery life charging little and often is ideal - for instance 10-30 minutes a day, perhaps when you are showering or getting ready for the day, or alternatively in the evening when you are relaxing with a book or in front of the television. That will not only make sure that your Fitbit is always charged and ready, but will also give your wrist and skin a rest for a few minutes every day.
If you do not intend to use your Fitbit for an extended period of time you can allow the battery to run down and store it in a dry place. However you should be aware that lithium batteries such as are in modern trackers like Fitbits can deteriorate if left in a deep discharged state for a long period of time.
