How do i know the calorie counter is accurate, specially during workouts?

My charge 6 is showing I burn about 2000+ calories daily. My average steps are 8k and my BMR is 1423kcal, 1708kcal if sedentary.

I worked out for 30 minutes today and it showed i burnt 71 calories. Granted, it wasn’t the most intense workout, but it still seemed super low. It made me even more suspicious considering the rest of my day seems to burn a million times more calories.

How do i know it’s accurate? I’m 66.4kg/164cm female if that matters. Thank you very much in advance.

First things to check:
Your weight is entered in the app correctly, at least not way off.
Make sure you are getting heart rate readings recorded.  You can look at the daily heart rate chart in the phone app and make sure it has data, and varies throughout the day.

Everything seems to be in order. It says i’ve burnt about 1,600 calories so far in the day, but it still says i burnt 71 during the workout

Did you get a workout summary and does it show a heart rate graph?  Does it look reasonable?  Calorie burn is based on heart rate.
