I have owned a charge 2, 3, 4, 5 and now 6. So at this point I really have nobody to blame but myself. But why do you *constantly* taking this simple product and make age to screw it up every time with super annoying features or lack of features.
For example, the charge 5 bizarrely removed the feature that stops auto-wake during sleeping hours. This feature existed, then it was taken away for absolutely no reason.
I reluctantly picked up a charge 6 because I read it had restored that feature and a few others, leading me to believe you all finally get it.
But, fooled again. Again, completely nonsensical user experience choices that don't show up in reviews.
Let me explain to you how watches work. When I feel the urge to look at my I WANT TI KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS. And about 75% of the time, it's on some screen I absolutely do not care about, abd there is no quick and obvious move to get back to the clock. You added back in a physical side button, which you would thing brings you back to the home screen, right? Like, that's obvious, right? But no, it does nothing. Tapping does nothing. Swiping left right up or down just brings you to more screens you don't want. You have r actually read the screen you're on a d perhaps scroll off screen to find a pause button so you can end the exercise mode you're in just to pop out and see what f*cking time it is.
This is so unbelievably annoying. When I'm trying to sleep and my cat is clawing me because she can see the bottom of her food bowl, I have a watch so I can super quickly see what time it is without moving, then go back to sleep. Now, I wake the screen, it's randomly not showing the time, I hit every button I can find to get beach, then I get frustrated and pissed off and now I'm awake at 5:30 in the goddamn morning.
So, 2 questions:
1) Is there some hidden setting somewhere where I can make the button on the side actually useful by having it send you back to the home screen?
2) Are you literally doing this on purpose so you can rerelease the exact same product every year and pretend fixing an issue you created is a new feature?

perhaps scroll off screen to find a pause button so you can end the exercise mode you're in just to pop out and see what f*cking time it is.
The time is at the top of the screen during exercise as of a couple firmware updates ago, and a lot of us actually didn't like that they changed that (used to be something useful like distance for Run/Walk). But also you can tap through screens during an exercise and see the time.
Agree it's kinda dumb to have to do anything to get back to the home screen if I haven't looked at it in a while. It's annoying to look at my watch 4 hours after my workout and still see the workout summary screen instead of the time.

I am not blind, I did see the time on the top of that one screen. It's not the only a nothing screen. That pops up and holds you hostage. Low battery, for example. It literally requires you to scroll down and hit "I acknowledge". Sometimes, I have had a random timer pop up and I have to scroll down, hit pause and then stop. In each of these screens, the button that should be the home button does absolutely nothing. It's obnoxious.
It's not just time time that I want to see. I spent time making make home screen display. That is the screen I want to see. Whatever information is on that screen.
It's whatever though. Absolutely never buying a Fitbit or Google device again. There's *always* something. And the only way any of these decisions make sense is if they're marketing ploys. Google has become Microsoft.

Sorry but we, as fitbit consumers, the 'you that are reading this, where not the ones needing things up.
Have you read your Charge 6 User Manual.
Page 16 and 18 are on navigation, yes in general, pressing the button should take you back to the clock
If you would like specific help, we will be glad to offer what we know.

By the way I have found that I have to press the "button" harder than I expect. And actually squeezing both sides works best.

Have you tried using the actual product? "In general" doesn't include the specific instances I brought up. Did you want to address those specific instances or just keep burying your head in the sand?
I am a user. I am describing my experience. This is a direct report of my dissatisfaction with the ux design. Do you think I didn't try hitting the button in those instances? Precisely how stupid do you think I am?

Are you kidding me with this?
You both understand that there is haptic feedback when you press the button, right? This is not an issue of not pressing the button hard enough. I suspect you are genuinely trying to be helpful there, but FFS man.
It's just bad UX design. I am a developer myself. I would be embarrassed by the flow of the interface. It's been obnoxious the entire time I have owned it. It continues to be obnoxious to this day. Today is the third separate time I have come back here feeling a need to express my dissatisfaction.
