How to 'add a device'?

I can't get my charge 6 and my app to talk to each other..
On my page under 'Devices' there is nothing but no instruction how to add?
Should my phone be in there?

Hi @Nicho52  device refers to your Charge 6, not your smartphone. Click to read more about the Charge 6 and set up procedure. Many articles with illustrations to get you started.

Thank you. I've done all that  but still cannot alter the time, etc or get my device  to 'talk' with the app - either on the phone or PC.  I was just looking for 'something' which might be missing to explain the non-communication.  Even my 13 year old techie grandson, with the 'lightning fingers' gave up!

@Nicho52  the young techies are incredible, aren't they? Let's see what we can do for you on the community, which is peer to peer helping. First of all, you can't do anything on the PC anymore.  Fitbit's announcement about the dashboard

The time on your device is from the time on your phone. Which phone do you have? It needs to be a compatible one.

here are the support contacts I've gleaned over the years on the forums.

when there is someone available, chat is an option. Phone or X/Twitter works well, too.

Thank you so much for all this useful info!
Confess this is all a bit too techie for this septugenarian (hence the
teen-input!)
So I need to get my phone and fitbit taking to each other and that is an
was my problem!
I'll have a go at your suggestions but may have to wait for my PC tech son
to visit on Sunday!
Thanks again!

@Nicho52  sometimes we do need a human hand that moves a bit slower than the speed of lightning. Hope you get things going and be sure to let us know how things turn out for you.

Thank you everyon - all very kind and helpful!
I'm afraid I must say farewell!
My daughter had a chufti and updated my phone's OS but it still is only 8.01 so Fitbit won't work on my phone    😭😭😭😭

I won't be changing my phone yet - it still works for everything else I need so - no fitbit.....
Thank you and farewell!

Ahhh @Nicho52  I'm sorry. Maybe someone in your family has a newer phone they aren't using. It doesn't have to be connected to cell service, just need it to use Wi-Fi so you can set up and sync.
