I have googled how to add steps to a charge 6 and every site tells me that it's possible and gives instructions. But the pages on the app that they direct me to and make these adjustments do not exist. For example, at one point it told me I needed to tap the icon that looks like a stopwatch. I have nothing like that in my app anywhere. Can someone tell me definitively how I can add steps to my Fitbit? I would be much obliged.

Hi @Sostrata you add an activity, such as a walk. Directions are here_ click to go there. I have Android and it's on my app. See if those directions help you.

Hi,
I was able to follow the directions to get to the screen to log activity. After opening activities, it showed a variety of different activities to choose from. I tapped WALK, and got to the form where you enter information about the walk. I entered the date and time I started and stopped on my walk. I really thought this was going to work. Unfortunately when I got to the place where I was supposed to write the distance that I had walked, the only unit of measurement it would accept was miles, not steps. I know the approximate number of steps that I take when I'm walking my dog and could put in a fair guesstimate of how many steps I took. But I haven't got a clue what the mileage might be. So I was not able to enter the information.
Thanks for your replies. I did learn some new things about my Fitbit from reading your replies and visiting the links. But sadly I was not able to enter steps.

@Sostrata the only way to do it is to say you took a walk for a certain time period and estimate the mileage. That will give approximate steps, which you can adjust by editing it until it's close to the number of steps you've taken. Fitbit suggests that 10,000 steps is five miles. You can do a search and find some articles about it. Good Housekkeeping article is well written - click to read it. The article explains a bit about the pace and how to figure out those steps. For me, I had to play around with it until the mileage was about the number of steps I actually took. Even then, it wasn't completely accurate, but there are times when I have my hands in my pocket or holding something that keeps my arm from swinging, so it more or less balances itself out.
So much to learn here and it's good you're taking the time to learn more about your Charge 6. I have the Inspire 3.
