Welcome back to the Fitbit Community, @myer70.
Thanks for letting me know about the mile splits on your Charge 6.
I recommend you to check this article, specifically where it says 'Can I track splits or laps with my Fitbit device?', I'm positive it will help you.

Ran a two mile test using your information. On my phone Fitbit report, I did see Lap 1 and lap2 listed. but the information made no sense. The overall run report showed 2.02 miles. The lap report showed two identical 1.6 miles.
The speeds reported were in the 10 minute and 9 minute ranges - speeds that i haven't run in a decades.
Do my results indicate the need for some additional settings?
