How to get the ECG to work: I bought a new charge 6 yesterday and couldn’t get the ECG to work. I spent an hour on the phone to the Fitbit tech and was still getting a message on the Fitbit saying ‘open the discover tab on your app’ when there isn’t a discover tab. I found people online with the same problem on charge 5. The tech guy had me re-link the device to my phone, uninstall and reinstall the ECG etc.
What he didn’t ask me to do was go into the four box Profile tab at the bottom right of the home page on the app on my phone and make sure in my profile that the country said United Kingdom. (The ECG only works in some countries.) As soon as I entered UK the ECG function became live.
someone should tell their tech support!

Yep same here, tried everything, technical support useless. Saw your post. Clicked on my Fitbit premium name under you tab, entered location as UK and worked straight away. Thankyou for saving my sanity.

You are absolutely right. It is a sad indictment that the fitbit community has more insight than the so-called dedicated support team.

Yep after hours of reseting and re-pairing with no joy this worked for me straight away. You just saved me from having a stress induced heart attack!

Let me just add one more step to your findings, after adding the country you need to log out and log in again from your account for this to work.
(at least for me no amount of synching and restarting would do it)
