How to track steps from my phone with the Fitbit app?

I am on vacation and forgot my Fitbit but wanna still track my steps with the app. I click on devices. Click on my phone and it has no option to switch to track with my phone. I've looked all over and Google seems to not have an answer. I'm sure it's something stupid I'm overlooking. Help please?
