How to turn off WhatsApp group notifications

Hi all, 

I have muted all my group WhatsApp messages and yet my charge 6 still vibrates. Please help, it's driving me insane

I'm glad to help you with the notifications you are receiving on your Charge 6.

Make sure to turn on DND (do not disturb) on your Charge 6 if you don't want it to vibrate zhile receiving notifications. To do so:

Swipe down from the clock screen. Tap DND mode setting to adjust it. When you turn off a setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it.

Note: You can't turn on the do not disturb setting and sleep mode at the same time.

Did you even read what i wrote? I want to mute the WhatsApp group notifications, not ALL notifications with the DND

My apologies if you've already followed the steps in this help page on managing phone notifications on the Fitbit (<-- click link). Is this what you did to turn off the WhatsApp group notifications?

I always have my phone on silent, which is great. Therefore, if i get a text, WhatsApp or phone call my watch will vibrate so i don't miss out. 

Now on WhatsApp, I've disabled group notifications as 50 people chatting makes my watch vibrate all the time. It's only the one group. All other groups on WhatsApp doesn't make my watch vibrate. Individual chats does, which is fine!

Thank you for the additional information.

I think I understand the problem now. You've disabled notifications for all your WhatsApp group notifications. However, you've got 1 group for which the notifications are still coming through so you get multiple notifications on your Charge 6.

Out of curiosity, are you getting the multiple notifications for that 1 group on your phone, too? If so, then it seems to me that the issue is with the Whatapp group notifications since you're not getting notifications for your other groups.

I don't think there's a way to disable the notifications for a single WhatsApp group on the Charge 6. It's either enable or turn off all notifications for a specific app.

I don't get the notifications on my phone for the groups that are muted.  When someone posts in that one WhatsApp group, my watch will vibrate. 

All other groups are muted and My watch doesn't vibrate. It's insane, honestly

That's so strange that you don't get the notifications for that 1 group on your phone, but you still get the notifications on your Charge 6.

Although I'm not sure that this will work, you might try clearing the cache for the Fitbit app on your phone to see if that will get your Charge 6 back in sync with your phone's Whatsapp notifications.

Sorry to open this thread, but this has just started happening to me out of no where.

In WhatsApp, I have alway had the vibration and sound turned off in the WhatsApp notification settings. So when someone sent me a message directly, I got the vibration in my Charge 6, but when there was any group messages, I still saw them, but there was no vibrate on the Charge 6.

Something changed in the last few days, and now all groups etc... Vibrates on the Charge 6. Even when I set all group notifications to Silent on the Android System settings.

I've cleared cache, etc... And it still happens. I'm on the latest version of the app, but still on 214.24 version on my tracker. 

Please help.
