I have upgraded my Fitbit 5 to a Fitbit 6 - how do I get the six month free premium access?

My Fitbit 6 arrived today and I am trying to figure out how I get the free six months that's automatically included when I purchased it?  If I just delete the Fitbit 5, and  add Fitbit 6, how do I stop paying for the monthly Fitbit 5 and get the free six months?  I have found nothing that explains that!

Hope someone can help me with this!

Hi @Caiby1

When you set up the Charge 6, at some point during the process you should get a screen asking whether you want to try 6 months of Fitbit premium. Did you not get that screen?

The following help article (here) has instructions on how to cancel your monthly subscription.

@Caiby1 - you may not get the offer if you currently have Fitbit premium, but I think you will get the prompt for premium (and the six month offer) once you cancel your monthly subscription.

Thank you Nathan for your input!  I really appreciate it! It would be helpful if they had specific instructions instead of having to go to the community to ask for help... especially when we have spent further money on upgrading our fitbits (ie customer loyalty).  I am also unsure when I set up the fitbit, if I have to delete the Charger 5, will that mean all of my data is lost?

Thanks Baltoscott!

I really appreciate it you trying to help me with this! @Caiby1 - sync your CH5 before you add your CH6 and you won’t lose any data, it is saved on the cloud.

Yes just as @Baltoscott mentions, as long as your data is synced and on the Fitbit servers you won't lose any data.

I agree that the process should be a lot simpler. Having to cancel your paid premium to get the free offer is just inconvenient. They really should just add the free months to your current plan.

HI - I had a Premium Sub when I upgraded to a Charge 6 in December.  I cancelled it as suggested but have waited to "use up" my paid for month.  How do I now take advantage of the 6 month subscription that was part of the offer when I bought my Charge 6?

I have already paid in full for my premium service, I cannot keep the charge 5 because the battery won't hold a charge, and it keeps showing 'central time' as I live in 'pacific time', I would like to get a fitbit with haggling for my premium member ship that I have already paid in full for...
