About a year ago I purchased my first fitness watch, the Fitbit Charge 5. After a series of issues it died after 5 months and I was given a Fitbit Charge 6 as a replacement. I have at least 3 major issues that leads me to believe that my next fitness watch will be made by a proven brand.
Firstly the Charge 5 seems to update at random times without any warning. Even in the middle of a workout, leading to the workout not being recorded.
Secondly sometimes workouts get terminated while ongoing.
Thirdly my heartrate gets logged at rates at +50% during walks. Even when the strap is tightened one notch more than for other use. This then brings the calorie consumption way of track. Mostly the heartrate gets logged ok during workouts like rowing, cycling or just workout. This then brings the calorie consumption way of track
At best my experience with the Charge 5/6 is that it's a toy, but not for serious fitness tracking.
