You do not need a credit card to join the Fitbit family, unless you want to use your tracker as a payment method or subscribe to Fitbit Premium. Otherwise, you can enjoy the benefits of your Charge 6 without any additional costs.
Considering this information is important before you take your device back to where you bought it.
