Good morning,
I hope someone can help me with some advices in following topic.
I use Fitbit for many years, began with Alta HR, have at the moment a Versa2. But as the battery of it lasts only 24 hours or less I wanted to change for a Charge 6.
Google does not sell to Hungary so I have chosen one of the biggest available marketplace and ordered one for about 135 €.
Last week I received a package, but when opening I realized that it's not a Fitbit at all.
Anyway the seller is in France - that's why I thought they are reliable -, but the item arrived from China (according waybill tracking).
I have sent my complaint immediately to the marketplace, but received the information right now, that the supplier does not see any problem with the delivered item, so I should send it back on my own costs.
Now I would like to prove my right that the shipped item is not a Fitbit.
Has anyone an idea how I should proceed?
Perhaps someone can send a photo of a real Fitbit Charge6 + packaging - so that I can prove the difference?
Please don't tell how stupid am I - I know it.
Thank you for your assistance.
Katalin

Hi @FMKati while I don't have what you need, maybe this picture from Best Buy (authorized retailer of Fitbit products) might help. It shows a picture of the Charge 6 and it doesn't have the silver metal (?) piece at the bottom of the pebble. It also has multiple images from customers. click to view

Thank you Odyssey13.
Every picture can help. I'll collect some images to prove the difference.

@FMKati If you go to the US eBay site, there are several Charge 6 models for sale. Some have user pictures of all sides of the box. I tried to include a link of one of the best (six pictures of the box), but the URLs are very long and I just couldn't insert that link.
There are a couple pictures of the front of the box in @Odyssey13's link -- check the user photos.
Can you dispute the credit card charge? What other recourse do you have for a fraudulent sale?

Thanks LZeeW. I'll check the photos.
I did not contact my bank, but I will ask them.
I have DAS Legal Protection Insurance. I have already contacted them, but they see little chance in case of such an "international business" between Hungary and a French company (with a Chinese director).
Thank you all for your help.

@FMKati their is nothing in your photo that says Fitbit.
You might want to check with your rights as a consumer in Hungary.
Another thought I have, would Google allow a user in Hungary to setup a Charge 6?

Hi Rich_Laue,
Thanks for sharing your comments on this.
It's clear that it's not a Fitbit, but I have to prove it somehow. Photos will help.
The Hungarian organization for consumer rights is very effective inside the country, but very slow outside the border, even if it's EU.
Google allowed Charge 6, there is no problem with it.

I think it highly likely you have been sold a counterfeit!
I have just purchased a Charge 6 a couple of weeks ago (in NZ) and the colour of my band is much lighter, and the edges of the band that contain the holes to fix to the other half of the band to the wrist, are straight edges, whereas your band has indented edges. Also mine only has 8 holes, yours has many extra holes. Your box (that the fitbit came in) has the word 'emoled' on it. Mine does not. It only has the word Fitbit.
I suggest you contact the Google company, because they now operate the Fitbit business. I hope you are able to get a successful outcome.

Hello Rich_Laue,
thanks for the photo of the package.
I hope my problem is solved now.
I received the refund for the delivered not-fitbit item.
And I have found another dealer for Charge 6 where I can order online but take over the goods in their shop. So I can check before payment what they want to sell 🙂
So thank you all for your assistance and the photos. So I will see before payment what I buy.

I think the emoled is misspelled and should have been Amoled a type of LED screen

Who knows how is Amoled spelled in Chinese 🙂
But since yesterday I'm the proud owner of an ORIGINAL Fitbit Charge6.
And I learned a lot from all the story above.
Thank you all for your help.

Hi @FMKati. Welcome to our community! I'm sorry to hear about your not Fitbit device experience and I'm glad to hear that it ended up well in the end. Sometimes we buy the wrong items and realize they are wrong when it's too late (it has happened to me when it's urgent to buy something I really want).
I'm glad to hear that you got your refund and that you are enjoying the Charge 6 experience now.
I really appreciate your advise and help @Odyssey13, @LZeeW, @tikityboo, @Rich_Laue.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @ryecabs.
From what I see on your picture (Fitbit logo, instructions, it should have the serial number on the box), it looks like an original device. Please try setting it up with the instructions of help article: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
