I lost my Charge 6 two days ago. I tried to sync with my phone to see if its lost inside my truck somewhere, but it won't sync - so I'm sure it's nowhere near my phone.
However, every day I'm still getting reports of calories burned and steps counted. Can someone explain this?
Also, is there any way to ask a friend to use bluetooth on their phone to see if the Charge 6 is in their house? (it's 200 miles away so I can't go do that)

@Benkelman , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
The calories you are seeing are based on your personal info ( age, gender, weight, etc) . Mostly you'll see the BMR if the Charge 6 has not synced yet.
The steps that you see on the app, might be recorded by your own phone.
In the Fitbit App, tap on the devices icon.
You'll see the Charge 6 listed and also the Smartphone option. This option uses the sensors on your phone to track your steps in case you didn't bring your Charge 6 with you during a walk. (left to charge , etc). You can turn the option off by tapping on it and remove it from the list.
I suggest you to have a look at this, maybe it helps to find your Charge 6. What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device?

You could have your friend call you - don't answer - and listen for fitbit vibrating in their house, before battery dies.
As for getting steps without syncing, I wouldn't swear to this but I think steps can register on phone without really syncing, just by bluetooth connection keeping up, whereas true "sync" means going back as forth with the main fitbit data base. I.E. you could be out of range of any wi-fi connection to sync but still be getting step count updated, I think. Not sure if this applies to calories. If this were the case, it could mean your tracker is nearby and maybe battery too weak to sync but still counting steps, if that is possible.
I would at least download a free bluetooth finder on your phone soon and try in truck and house, sooner the better if battery is dying.

You could try one of the Bluetooth LE finder apps. I've used one to find my tracker when lost in Big Lots

Thanks Juan - I was not aware of some of this.
