Lost my Charge 6 in NYC

ANSWERED

Dear all,

If anyone found a Fitbitcharge 6 in Chinatown NYC today, please, please contact me.

I know I probably won't find it again. But maybe, just maybe.

Also, is there a way to lock the device to prevent from people using it?

Hi @LKCC - as @RiekoC  says there isn't a way to remotely lock it but you can always chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support, they might be able to disable it.

However anyone finding it and wanting to use it would have to first buy a charger to continue to use it so it would disable itself after a while without one.

You could always check back with support after a week and perhaps they can tell you of any activity on the device.

Hello @LKCC

I'm so sorry to see that you lost your Charge 6.

There isn't a way to remotely lock the Fitbit that I know of. Perhaps someone else might have a suggestion.

BTW, I believe a person would have to do a factory reset if they wanted to use the device since the it's currently "tied" to your account.

Oh no!! So sorry. This is one of my Fears as I am absent minded/ have adhd, and tend to lose things very easily.  I would like to follow this thread to see any solutions in the case of a lost device.

Thank you for your kind response. I hope they do have to do a factory reset. I wonder if I would get an email if someone tries to tie to another account or a reset?

@LKCC - you won't get an email if someone tries to use or reset it.

The link works, try copying it and paste in a browser, or you may be protected from opening external links, in the email, so go to the topic in the forum in the browser and try the link.

@LKCC - lol, just in case the battery is already flat, you may have luck if you ask your dog to look for it the old fashioned way!
