Messaging notifications won’t appear

I got my Fitbit today and after setting everything up I noticed I can receive phone call and Facebook messenger notifications but not text messages. I have an iPhone and I restarted the Fitbit and the iPhone to see if that would work. I also have checked to ensure all notification buttons are green. Anyone have this same problem or know a fix?

From user reports that I've seen, some iOS users need to do some additional steps to get notifications on their Fitbit devices. This help page has the recommended troubleshooting steps: setting up notifications for iOS users (<-- click link)
