In the past I’ve owned Charge 1, 2 and lastly a 4, which met its untimely death after doing a quick swim at a beach. It had the shortest lifetime at around 2 years whereas the other two lasted almost 4. Reason why I chose them were for:
Heart rate tracking
Sleep tracking
Cheap and affordable
Lightweight
Multi day battery life
Now after a few years without a Fitbit I believe Google have neglected a few things around so I’m keen to know from people who have stuck around with the newer Charge and those who moved on to Apple Watch and whether the premium was worth it. I’m keen to know how the newer technologies compare in the two, such as:
SpO2
Afib
ECG
Also keen to know if the build quality of Charge 6 has been adequate.
Cheers in advance!

I had a Charge 2 for over 6 years and the battery was going, so upgraded to the Charge 6. ECG is easy and quick but haven't been able to export. Dissatisfied that they removed the steps feature ( no altimeter) but I do like the GPS. The 6 is not that much better than my old 2 - The app has been tweaked and the changes realy stink, I expected Google to improve the Fitbit app but they hosed it big time. The Google customer support is basically nonexistent and appears that they don't care about the Fitbit. This will most likely be my last Google/Fitbit device. I would go with the Apple product if you can afford it.
