Just to narrow down where the syncing error is, can you sync the device to the Fitbit app ok?

Also, are both apps in question updated?

Finally, are there any firmware updates to download on either the phone or the device?

Hi

The Fitbit will sync to the app ok but it’s doing that showing same number of steps from other previous days in the app which I now know is another issue. I have 4.22 so I don’t think that’s the issue. I don’t know what the issue is i  have tried reinstalling the app disconnecting from Bluetooth and forgetting and nothing seems to work. MyFitnessPal is syncing data to Fitbit ok

Hi my charge 6 connects to the app on my iPhone. It is the difference of
the steps between the charge 6 and the app which is the issue since the
firmware update. I have kind of given up on this. Multiple requests to
Fitbit support no response or resolution. Thinking of moving to my Apple
Watch tbh

You are being awesome in trying to assist.
But this is where they are driving me crazy. All my correspondence with
them has been about one the one outstanding issue.
Since the firmware update my step count on my charge 6 doesn't match
my fitbit app.
How does that have anything to do with myfitnesspal?.
My food is syncing fine from my fitness pal and the steps from the app to
myfitnesspal are syncing fine.
T*he issue is that the steps on my charge 6 and the FitBit APP do not match
*and have not since the firmware update. Fitbit Support even got me to do a
factory reset!

I am totally sick of being given the run around by them and no solution. It
is ridiculous.

It actually makes all the difference in the world if both apps aren't updated.  If one app is updated and the other not, there could be compatibility issues contributing to your problem.

Hi
Yes thanks for your help. I was aware this was a potential issue to be aware of. MyFitnessPal was up to date when this error first started. Since then there has been two updates one on the 9/4 and 15/4 both have been updated. No change to the foot count issue.
