My Charge 6 isn’t recording my stair activity

My home requires stairs to get in and out of my house. I have been up and down 1 set or more several times since getting my new Charge 6 on Sunday, but there is no recording of doing so. Not once. How do I fixxthis?

@Magic10Fingers in order to record stairs, a Fitbit needs a piece of hardware called an altimeter. The Charge 6 does not have an altimeter, so it is unable to record stairs.

Hi @Magic10Fingers and welcome back to the forums.

I appreciate your message regarding the Charge 6 who doesn't track floors / stairs activity.

There's nothing you can do about it since floor tracking is done using an altimeter, and the Charge 6 doesn't have one.

May I suggest you to take a look into the following help article? How do I get started with Fitbit Charge 6?

@alexthecat I'm always grateful for all the support always given.

Thank you. Weird, because my 4 & 3 had it. Plus it shows up on my daily tracking. Wish I could remove it then.

@Magic10Fingers to remove stairs from your Fitbit app, tap the little pencil symbol in the upper right corner of the display, scroll down, and toggle "Floors" off.

I did that & it’s still showing. Turned off phone, closed the app, still there. Thanks anyway.
