Purchased a Charge 5 for my wife in 12/22. It completely died (no charging or turn on) in 1/24. Fitbit would do nothing to help since it was one month out of warranty. So I stupidly purchased a Charge 6 that same month. Today it completely died, too, and I was told they could send me a 35% discount coupon for a new one. The fitbit is not used strenuously at all, not used in the water and not even worn at night. Clearly google wants to move on from fitbit.

@ohiojff So sorry you've had negative experiences. With tech devices like these I feel like it's luck of the draw. Unfortunate that your Charge 5 died just a month beyond warranty. My mom's Charge 5 had died 10 months in while still under the warranty, Fitbit (Google) sent her a new pebble; still going 2 years in. I purchased a Charge 6 December 2024, so far so good. Fingers crossed.
