My experience with my Fitbit and the app

I’ve worn a FitBit for 8 years and I’m about to give up. For the past few months my treadmill runs are being tracked by GPS, no matter how many different settings I’ve tried, no matter how many things I’ve googled, it is driving me INSANE. My battery life is also absolutely awful but before this problem it was fine!! What is going on?!? Do I give up and move to Apple Watch before I lose my mind? Advice would be appreciated because I am so fed up, but I have years of data I don’t want to lose! Problem is all my recent running data is all wrong!! AHHHHH help please

Hi @Jazmatazz. A warm welcome to the forums.

Thank you for taking the time to share all the details regarding this situation with your Charge 6. This is not the experience we aim to provide our users.

Before considering other options, I would suggest you confirm that you have restarted the device as indicated below:

How do I restart my Fitbit device.

May I know if you started the physical activity manually or if you let the device automatically record it?

Does all the information you mention receiving incorrectly refer to the GPS map or is referring to the physical activity information?

Regarding the battery, I would like to remind you that its lifespan decreases when you use the GPS; you could even consume it from 100% to 0% in a single day if you use this tool for extended periods. I recommend following this article:

Extend your Fitbit device's battery life.
