New Charge 6 Won't Connect

Just bought this yesterday.  It won't connect or restart. Removed my old fitbit that quit working.  Cycled Bluetooth after restarting phone.   Tried the reset process several times and it just tells me to download the app when the button is pressed and charge and the wrong date and time when not pressed, wait 10 seconds for no change. It does nothing else and I've done that six times at varying timing on press vs gap.  Tried the plug in, unplug reset to no benefit 3 times now and I can't get your lousy bands to stay attached.  I've ran out of things to try in the help menus and I've wasted two hours on this **ahem** today alone.  If you have something else I can try, send it.  If not, I will be returning this stone and never buying your garbage again.  Happy Sunday

Oh, and your help topic structure sucks.

I am currently having exactly the same problem. Very annoyed. I’ve deleted my old Fitbit device from my app but this new charge 6 just won’t synch

I think I experienced this.  Did you uninstall the fitbit app on your phone.  And did you clear storage and cache from the app before uninstalling?  You might try clearing the storage of the app now and uninstall it..  Then reset the charge 6 with the button on the charger.  Then, when the charge 6 asks for the download, start the new app download then.  I hope this works.

Didn't work, but I didn't see a cache deletion option.  I deleted everything i could find, told my phone to delete all memory associated with FitBit, uninstalled, then reinstalled and its still a brick.  I've got stuff needs doing and my billable rate is two of these an hour.

Gave it a quick look before bed.  Shook it and my phone said, "do you want to pair?".

So, apparently you have to unplug it, throw it on the counter, write a scathing review on Best Buy, insult it and go work on the house, cook dinner, spill olive oil on it and wipe it off on your pants  Then it will pair.  And I drank a Mexican coke around the same time and belched in its general direction.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've uninstalled the App again, removing all
data. I put the phone back on the charger. It took half an hour to get from
99% to 100%. Now it has finally fully charged again, the prompt to download
the App hasn't appeared, in the way it did each time before. Nonetheless, I
reinstalled but there is no pairing. Time to return the watch to the
retailer and move to another brand. It's a shame - I'd been satisfied with
my different Fitbits over the past 8 years.

After full charge, I suggest resetting the device with the button on the charging cable.  Perhaps that will initiate the request to download? I think you meed to press the button three times.
