Pairing a Charge 6 to an Iphone SE

I cannot pair a new Charge 6 to my I phone.  When I go through the steps in the process I end up with a screen asking me to try the Premium option.  I don't want to do this but there seems no way past this screen.  If I click on the cross in the top LH corner it just takes me back to the start.

I thought I had made some progress with this problem yesterday but alas not very far.  I tried pressing the button on the USB connector end of the charging lead three times, as recommended in some of the posts.  If I now go through the pairing process I get to the end, before reaching the Premium service screen.  I get a 'Done' message, a green tick and a Phone paired message.  However the Fitbit and phone do not seem to be paired or synced. The display on the Fitbit does not change from the basic time and date display and the Fitbit does not appear in the Bluetooth devices in my Iphone settings display.  Anyone got any ideas?
