Running with intervals?

Is there a way to track distance and pace while using intervals? I don’t see an option to do either - with the running workout, no option to set intervals and with the interval function it looks like I can set a goal for distance but it doesn’t look like it tracks pace. Anyone know? I would love to be able to not have to wear two separate devices.

You might try recording a Run, and set your laps for time instead of distance. But it looks limited: 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes, and I imagine that only helps for 1:1 work:rest intervals, so maybe that won't work for the kind of intervals you're doing. I've never tried it, so no idea if the workout details in the app would show you what you want or not.

@Amyleed Fitbit isn't good for running interval workouts. The Interval Workout lacks the running metrics and Run lacks intervals. You can use laps (time/distance) but it's also rather useless as you can't use precise timed laps (minimum time is 2min) nor precise distance (you can't have ie. 100m lap for short strides intervals). Also, you won't get lap pace or any othe metric per lap. Fitbits are not runner's watches, they provide only very basic tracking and lack any training features. Only fix - get runner's watch.

Thanks - I do have an older garmin watch (sadly it is a model that requires syncing using a computer). I can continue to use that - was just hoping to get away without it as I had thought this functionality would be coming with the charge 6 based on some of the reviews I was reading. Hopefully this comes in the future - it would be nice to have my Fitbit do everything I need in one device!

@Amyleed unlikely this will come to Fitbit anytime soon (as a runner, I don't think it will ever come to Fitbit considering lack of even simpler features like ie. cadence). Garmin is a superior option with structured workouts and in-watch guidance.
