Hi there @Hallopam, thanks for stopping by! I'm sorry to hear your steps have been reset.
Allow me to help you find out the reason why your device behaved that way.
The step count is usually reset at midnight. That makes me believe that maybe the timezone needs to be adjusted in your Fitbit App. Is the time correct ? If no, Please follow the instructions in our help article How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?
If it's not the case, try restarting yout device if you haven't done so :
- Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app .
- Tap the Settings app and then Restart Device and then Restart.
I hope you'll be able to fix this issue with the tips provided. have a great day!

This just happened to me for the second time. I am on a 762 day step streak, but my app is telling me I’m on day 5. The last time it happened I was somewhere in the 450 range. Did all the troubleshooting and, as expected, nothing helped. There are multiple threads regarding this issue, all of them have the replies disabled, and after doing a chat with a customer service rep, I was told that they (customer service) don’t have the ability to manually adjust the streak. I have a versa 3, I think the first time it happened I was still using my versa 2. Either way, the fact that Fitbit has known about this issue since 2021 and it’s STILL unresolved is completely ridiculous. I’m wondering if transferring from Fitbit to google will resolve this, but it hasn’t been suggested, so I seriously doubt it. Wondering if there’s some other app that can accurately keep track of my streak, because clearly Fitbit can’t or won’t fix it.

HELP! This same thing happened to me, and I am FREAKING OUT! I hit day 1,000 on 3/8/25, and should be on day 1007 after completing my goal today. However, Fitbit now shows my streak as only 3 days. I have exceeded it everyday, and my app even shows I made it for 15 days this month (and today is only the 15th day of the month).
Fitbit, PLEASE CORRECT MY STREAK TO MY ACCURATE INFORMATION!
Here’s my screen snap from 3/8/25:
Here’s today (3/15/25) showing a three day streak, but also that I hit my goal 15 days so far this month (and it’s the 15th of the month):

Hi Lindy,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they’re not going to fix your streak for you. If you look through the forum, you’ll find multiple posts about this exact issue, most of them will show as being “resolved” even though it has never actually been resolved, and those posts can no longer be replied to. My post is right above yours, my streak reset twice, first time I was over 400 days, second time I was over 750. I emailed customer service, and got the same useless suggestions that were posted here about restarting the device, logging in and out, and so on. They also said they were unable to manually adjust my step streak, even though all the data is right there on the app. Then they said they’d get back to me, and that’s the last I heard. That was over a month ago. I made it to what should’ve been day 795 when I got the flu and spent 3 days in bed. I decided it was the perfect time to move on from Fitbit. I gave my versa 3 to my 16 year old who just likes having a smartwatch, and could care less about step streaks. It’s a shame really, because I loved my fitbit, but the faulty app and terrible customer service were the straw that broke the camel’s back. They don’t care to fix it, or don’t know how, but they’re not going to admit it, because it will cost them customers. They lost me for good. Bought myself a smart ring instead, and I love it. I’m really sorry about your streak. Congrats on breaking and passing 1000 days.
