Sync without internet connection

All the data collected by my Charge 6 is sent to my mobile device using Bluetooth. That makes an internet connection irrelevant, yet an internet connection is required if I want to: sync data, update time on Fitbit (changed time zone), view stats when out hiking and away from internet, etc. I have been a long time Fitbit user but I am prepared to end the “relationship” if this cannot be rectified.

Being a long-time Fitbitter, you probably know this, but detailed data will be stored on your watch for a week, then it switches to storing summary data (not sure exactly what that means, maybe just not minute by minute details) for about a month.  But I do understand wanting more.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
