After waxing on and on about the Pixel Watch 2, which is a no-go from me due to battery life (about a day), James Park (yes, that James Park) gave a 20 to 30 second "oh hey we are also launching fitbit charge 6." And that was it. A single picture.
No details, nothing. Didn't even bother to tout it and give any reason why you'd want to buy or upgrade to it.
Sad.
As someone who has hung on through nearly every fitbit device, I'm struggling to find a reason. I've read with interest every post over the last couple weeks that talks about switching to Garmin, trying to figure out what will or won't work for me. While I am not a fan of the app redesign, it was at least working properly for me up until yesterday when it said I just randomly got up at 1am and started my day.

Hi @maxim9.
I agree that it was rather disappointing. Although at least this gives us some insight into the direction Google is heading with Fitbit. Personally I don't think we will ever see another Fitbit smart watch, which is a shame as the battery life on the Pixel watch is a no go for many.

IMHO ALL smartwatches are too large for me. I desire the tracking bits only. I try not to use it as a watch. Smaller is better but smaller than the Charge is getting too small. The charge already takes a beating with my kettlebell, I don't need a $400 watch taking that beating. I won't be using most of the Google App bits, maybe the maps part would be good for cycling.
