The Fitbit app won't pair with my charge 6

ANSWERED

Okay, so basically: I have a Chromebook, I downloaded the Fitbit app on said Chromebook, the setup process seemed to be going good, it even sent a code to my charge 6 and it got it! But now I'm on the home screen and it says on the top: "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to your Charge 6" So I click on it and it tries to pair via bluetooth.
After trying to sync for a minute or two it says: "There was an error while trying to bluetooth pair your device. Would you like to try again?" I proceed to try AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. I also made sure my Bluetooth was on, my Chromebook even said the device was paired to it, and I made sure the device was paired the entire time it was syncing, Yet still it won't sync! Can someone help me please?

My understanding is that there has been recent changes made to Chrome RNA now allows an App to communicate with Bluetooth devices. You may want to leave Fitbit Feedback on Add Chromebook as a supported device

Chrome apps are essentially web pages.
