Today suddenly my fitbit start to show the wrong time.
My time zone is Bangkok GMT+7:00 but the watch show the UTC time.(7 hours slower from my time zone)
I've try change to other location with GMT+7:00 in the setting but it still show the UTC time.
Meanwhile, I've tried Tokyo GMT+9:00 the time is shown correctly. (2 hours faster than my time zone)
Is there any way to fix this or is this somekind of bug?

Same here. Just encountered wrong time and tried resettled the watch and resetup the app. Setting location and time zone don’t work. I bet it’s software bug from Fitbit. So annoying and quite lousy despite having bought charge 6. Thumb down. Should have gotten Apple Watch

i've tried, restarted the fitbit and it's still not working. it doesn't take in any of the changes i try, whether it's the same time zone i'm in or a different one, i keep getting the same time.

Nothing working for me at all. Is there really no customer service we can contact at all?

Mine just changed overnight, without driving anywhere. I try to change manually to my timezone, sometimes it wont allow; but even if it does allow the time remains wrong (3 hrs ahead).

Same issue time on my Fitbit has gone back by an hour. Logged out of the app and then logged back in. All other info is syncing with my iPhone, time just wrong. Tried removing my device and then reconnecting it but the time problem still persists.

My Fitbit 6 is showing 14:31 while the current time is 22:31.
I tried to adjust the time in the Fitbit app setting as told in the help pages., try to uninstall the Fitbit and reinstall it.
Restart the phone and synced it, but the same problem occurred. this morning the watch is working well, but in the afternoon, it becomes -8 hours different.

Hi,
My Fitbit is showing the wrong time. I went to the advanced settings, disabled the automatic timezone, and changed it manually. It's still wrong. I tried to change it to other countries with the same time zone but had the same problem. It's 3 hours ahead. I have restarted my Charge 6 through the command and from the charger, deleted the app, logged out of the app, and restored to factory settings. And nothing works.

Only timezone that seems to be working is Asia/Shanghai. I.e GMT+8, for all other timezone Fitbit is showing time in UTC. Looks like a major bug in fitbit backend

I'm having the same issue today. I didn't go anywhere and suddenly my fitbit charge 6 always uses GMT+0 timezone. I have tried to change to manual location and timezone, changed from IOS to Android and still failed.

I had the same auto location as UK earlier (even though I'm in Singapore). We are GMT+8. Changed the timezone from Singapore to Shanghai (also GMT+8), while retaining location as Singapore, and the time display (and sleep score and hours) finally synced.

Same issue since 4 hrs ago.
did everything according to help centre, even resetting doesn’t resolve.
one workaround is this:
turn off automatic time sync
select another country time, such as Japan. Sync watch. It will show Japan local time.
select the time to Taiwan which has the same time as Singapore. Sync the watch again. It will show the correct time (based on Taipei time).
do not select Malaysia or HK time, it will bounce back to 8hrs behind Singapore actual time.
it is a server issues and yet cannot chat with them as it keeps saying outside operation hours.

Keep the country to Singapore.
just change the time zone to Taipei or Shanghai.

Yes
there was an alert to update OS but it did not resolve the issue.

The best part is, there is no way to reach Fitbit tech support. And they probably do not read the messages here.

I have the exact same problem!!! It just shifted today and my GPS country is defaulting to UK even if I tried to fetch it from my phone. I have tried uninstalling and resynced it multiple times. The time is reverting to UTC and location to UK regardless of timezone setting in my phone or the fitbit settings
