I was having significant trouble changing out my brand new Charge 6 wristband so I consulted these forums. None of the advice and instructions on these Forums are applicable to the Charge 6.
You do not have to put anything down the slots i.e. fingernail, screwdrive blade. It is as easy as putting your fingernail on the side ot the plastic lever between the end of the wristband and where it meets the back of the watch. Just pull it to towards the wristband and twist ever so easily. Hope this helps anyone from damaging their new Charge 6 or becoming frustrated and bring it back.

Hi Lizzy — I see exactly how this needs to be done, but it does not come off easily, and I (just having gotten my Charge 6) don’t yet know how durable it is. After I pull the tab, should I be hearing a click to indicate that it’s safe to remove the band? I literally got this yesterday, and am horrified at how much less easy/intuitive it is than changing bands on previous models. The little plastic tab does not inspire confidence in its ability to withstand changing bands while I’m doing it the first time; every day for years seems impossible.

It certainly does feel a little flimsy! It's exactly my thinking. I switched to a fabric strap that you slip on instead of open on the strap ends to remove or put on to wear, all that stretch pressure will be on the locking mechanism on the device.
You won't hear a click on release since pulling on the tab is pulling up the hook to allow you to pull off the strap. Inserting a strap on the other hand you will hear it click into place.

Thank you for this! I've been trying to push that darn button down for 20 minutes now! Broke both my thumb nails 🙄 after reading your directions, it took me 10 seconds

@Cmm2104 It's not so much a push down on the tab to release more of a push to the side (push towards the outer end of the device).
