The light of sensor turns off automatically when is not on wrist. Just put tracker down on screen so the sensor faces ceiling.

@Triletics Thanks for your help!
@gotheraider Welcome to the forums. The default setting for the heart rate measurement is "automatic". You are able to turn it off though. Manage basic settings in the Settings app . Swipe down from the clock screen and tap the Settings app to open it. Tap a setting to adjust it. Swipe to see the full list of settings. This is how you can manage the heart rate measurement.

Thanks RodrigoMFirbit - yes, turning off the heart rate feature did stop the green light flashing, when not wearing on my wrist. A bit disappointing to have to do this with the new FB Charge 6 though!
