My bank is listed at https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/google-apps/banks. I get that this is different from https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/fitbit-pay/banks. I don't think AmEx gets it, but thats a different card and a different post. My MasterCard is from a bank that supposedly supports Google Wallet on the Charge 6, but after attempting to add, the message that comes up is "This card can't be set up for tap to pay\nYour bank doesn't support tap to pay with your watch on your card. Contact your bank for more info or add another card."
I'm not sure this is the bank's fault. I think Fitbit Pay, Google Pay, and Google Wallet are all getting smushed together in a very broken way.

Have you checked with your bank? Until you do, you won't know? The next step, after contacting the bank, will be to contact Fitbit
I had a card supported by Google Pay on the phone, but not the watch. Since then, the bank added support for the watch

I checked with my bank. They often have issues with Google/Fitbit Wallet and have to update manually. So far no success. Various posts on this, including one which said the Google Fitbit team were aware of this bug, and it might be fixed in a future software release ...

Have already complained about this, my bank supports both Fitbit and Google wallet and is supported on this Device, yet Fitbit claims it's my banks fault. I called my bank and there were no issues on my end, talk to Fitbit they claim it's my banks fault and they didn't know what's wrong. So by default it's on Fitbit to fix this not you bank as Fitbit clearly have no clue what's going on here.
