Weather app missing

I recently switched from galaxy bands to fit bit bands. I work in aviation and need to put current temperatures on paperwork 8 to 10 times per shift. My old band was able to be programed on the band screen. It stated fully compatible with android, no option for weather. I have read previous forums last year about the same thing. It sounds like this app will never be developed even though customers have expressed that it is needed

Hello @Reaper666 and welcome to the Community.  I agree with you that it is unlikely that a weather app will get added to the Charge 6.  The Charge 5 doesn't have a weather app.  The Charge 5 request in the Product Feedback forum is marked Not currently planned.  This doesn't bode well for the Charge 6.  I don't think the Charge 6 will ever meet your needs.

It seems like such an obvious app to include in a fitness app. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined 😞

If you go to the Fitbit web app store and search for the official 'Fitbit Weather' app, then click on 'Open App' the weather app will install on your charge 6.

It doesn't show the temps for the next few hours but it will show the current place and weather conditions fine.

Fitbit must either be planning on implementing this weather app into the Charge 6, or this is a beta app that is somehow still hosted on the web app store.

 

UPDATE: I've had to uninstall the weather app, as it was causing display issues when I swiped through the other apps installed on my Charge. The uninstall method is the same as the install method, for those that also have this issue.

It does not show to open app just to copy or open Facebook, Twitter and I wish I could send the picture but it won't let me do it

If you read the second part of my post, it says I removed it due to it causing display glitches, so I wouldn't worry about not being able to install it.
