When to charge my Charge 6 and doesn't work now

I had 18% left on my Charge 6, I know how to charge it, I have had my Charge 6 since Christmas, my kids gave it to me for Christmas.  Now it doesn't turn on at all, I have tried to press 3 times, wait 30 seconds, and try again for 10 seconds.  Doesn't work.  The light isn't on anymore on the back.  When you try to push the button on the side, it doesn't push in, it is like everything just shuts down on it.  I was looking forward to this Fitbit when I got it but now, after only a short time of having it, I am disappointed.

Sorry to see that your Charge 6 isn't working.

At this point, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link). They should let you know what are your options under warranty.

I had 20% left on my Charge 6 this evening, put it on the charger, screen went black.  I tapped to get the clock face, no response.  I opened the app on my phone, which said the watch had last synced 15 minutes before.  I cleaned the watch contacts.  I did the charging cable reset (pushing button three times), no response.  Tried a different charging cable, no response.  Then called Fitbit support.  He had me clean the cable contacts with rubbing alcohol and the watch contacts with water.  No response with the reset.  Told me to leave on the charger for 30 minutes.  Just completed that.  Still not synced (app knows it was an hour ago.)  Battery is showing 16% on the app, but I suspect that's what it was when I put it on the charger, since the app isn't reading from the watch any more.  Going to call support again.

Fitbit is sending me another Charge 6 under warranty.  I bought it with a 50% discount in September because my Charge 5 replacement did the same thing (but was by that time out of warranty.  So this will be the fourth Fitbit I've had in 24 months (bought the Charge 5 end of May 2022, after Charge 3 died, replaced in about August 2022 with same no-charge thing, and then replacement did it in December 2023.)  Can anyone recommend a non-Fitbit watch for me to try when this one dies?  I do not have an iPhone, so Apple stuff is out.

Correction, Charge 6 bought with discount in December, not September.
