While Charge 6 is exercise tracking, whether it auto-starts an exercise or I manually start it, I can't access the time screen. It seems everything else is locked and if I want to check the time I have to stop the exercise track.
This makes the exercise tracking kind of useless. I wish it could run in the background, as I just want it to record the information for later.

@BobGohd The current time is one of the middle stats available on the screen. I’m not sure if you tap or swipe to change the middle stat. But it is there.

When exercise tracking, tap on the screen to cycle through the other screens (eg Calories, Steps, elapsed Time, Zone Minutes etc); one of them shows the time and date.

@BobGohd On my Charge 6 with v20001.202.94 firmware, the current time is in small white numbers at the top of the exercise screen. If you're on older firmware, you will probably have to tap through to it as MattRoxx stated.

My issue is I can't access the time screen..... not the time isn't displayed. I want the exercise tracking to run in the background, so I can access the time screen. I'm in my 50s and wear reading glasses for small print/font, the time display on the exercise screen is not even close to being large enough.
My previous Fitbit, the Inspire had no problem tracking exercise in the background.

Yes! I am 46 and my eyesight isn't great. While out walking I want to see my main screen for time but also for step count because I like to walk until I hit whatever my current goal is for steps. Can't find a way to show it. Love the Charge 6 otherwise though.

I have had 4 versions of the Charge, and this is the single worse user interface issue across them all in my opinion. I use the stopwatch and timer features for pace setting and interval training (or I used to when I could access them while exercising). I would also like to be able to use directions from my wrist while running, but I can't get to the map feature while exercising either.
If this is not patched soon, this will be the issue that ends my decade long use of Fitbit products.
