Why can't Charge users get auto-pause for cycling?

Something like four years ago I asked about auto-pause for cycling on the Charge 4 I had then. When I got a Charge 5, I made the foolish assumption that, since FitBit programmers could program auto-pause for the Run activity, it shouldn't be that hard to duplicate the function in Cycling.

But nooooooo.

Fast forward to this year, and guess what: Alpha/Google/FitBit STILL hasn't enabled auto-pause for cycling; even though it is available for running, and it's apparently enabled for cycling in other products. Do the code monkeys not know that people riding bicycles are required to stop at stop signs? for red lights? to take pictures of cute puppies? to fix flats?

I give up.

Hi @2labz this would be a question for Google, not we who are Fitbit users.

This is, after all, allegedly a "community" of Fitbit users; where better
to air one's thoughts on the products, since there is abso-frickin'-lutely
no way to get word to an actual employee who has any answers. I mean, have
you ever *tried *to reach a human employee of Google? In the rare
instances where someone accidentally left a "contact us" link on a help
page, you just end up in endless recursion.
