Why is it so hard to get zone minutes now

I do not like the new calculation to get zone minutes. I do not think it is calculating correctly. Some days same intensity I have 20 to 30 minutes of exercise and zone minutes and other times with same workout 2 zone minutes. I have charge 6 and at times it is not picking up my heart rate. I have the fitbit placed up on the arm and tightened as recommended. Some people just want to stay healthy not become an athlete. Please fix this. Also how can we get the lab ads off our screen in the app. Very disappointed.

Hello @Javagrrl68

There hasn't been any changes to how Active Zone Minutes are awarded. You get AZM when your heart rate is within the various ranges.

Since you mention that you aren't always seeing your heart rate tracked, that could be the reason why you're not getting all your AZM. When you aren't seeing your heart rate being tracked on your Charge 6, check to see if you see a green light on the back of your device. The green light is the optical heart rate sensor.

You might want to check the Settings tile on your Charge 6 to make sure that Heart rate is turned on:

  • Swipe down from the clock face until you get to the Settings tile (last one)
  • Swipe up to find Heart rate and confirm that it's turned on. If not, tap on it to enable

The team is aware of the issue with the Fitbit Lab banners on the Fitbit app. Last we heard was that a fix is supposed to be rolling out. However, we're not sure which app version has the fix. Users who have installed ver 4.46 have reported that the banners still are present, without a way to remove them.

Thank you for your response. I will keep an eye on the Heart rate and check
those areas you me turns should I not see the heartrate.
