Why isn't Barclays supported for contactless payments?

I've just got a fitbit charge 6. Why isn't Barclays supported, despite the fact that google wallet on my phone supports it.  It's crazy,  it's one of the major banks.

When will you be adding this,  and if you aren't (or you just don't know) what is the reasoning behind it?

Hi @Simz1.  Google Wallet for Fitbit is different from Google Wallet on your phone.  Each bank decides whether or not they want to participate in Google Wallet for Fitbit.  A bank must make an investment to participate.  Please give Feedback to Barclays asking for participation.

It doesn't even matter when they supposedly are supported, they still don't work.  HSBC have apparently been supported for ages but there are loads of us who can't get it to work and "support" couldn't care less.  One of the reasons I'm planning on switching to a different brand tbh.
