Wrong calories are driving me mad!

These past 3 weeks my calorie burn for a 5k jog (35 mins - im not quick!) has been less than 100, whereas it's always been between 350 and 450. I can't understand why it's changed. I regularly burned 1900 kcal on a run day (with everything else I was doing) but I'm never getting close to 900 for the whole 24 hours. Can anyone help?

Check your weight, that it didn't accidentally get set way too low, like a misplaced decimal point.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Is it accurately detecting your heart rate? If it thinks you are working out but heart rate is never detected going above 80 it's going to think you're doing a pathetic workout versus if your heart rate is 145 the whole time.

I have a repeatability issue when I walk, too.  When I look at the heart rate chart, I kind of understand why.  The Fitbit measures my heart rate right at the border between light and moderate.  Slight changes in my speed might take it a little higher (AZMs accumulated) or a little lower (No AZM.s).  I can barely feel the difference.

That said, I have been getting more repeatable results if I clean the back of the watch and my wrist before I start my measured exercise.  I also raise where I wear my watch to make sure it is a full two fingers above my wrist bone.

Good luck
