fitbit not syncing to samsung s23 ultra

my fitbit (charge 6) required constant syncs and lost phone gps during walks. eventually I turned off power saving mode on phone and things returned to normal. gps remained reconnected during walks and resyncing not required. I also noticed that during a walk it lost gps but then reconnected which resulted in gps for entire walk. I guess in power saving mode it lost gps then did not try to get gps back.
