step counts quickly jump up and down at my 2nd day using Charge 6

Hi guys,

I'm totally new of using wearable and Fitbit just started using Charge 6 yesterday, so last night i monitoring the step counter which looks good, but this morning, i noticed that the count quickly jump up and down, and at last it has much more steps count than what on my iPhone, any suggestions on this?  I've tried to restart my Fitbit Charge 6 and will see how's going.

Cheers!

Hello & welcome @ShinnBit

There's been an issue on the Fitbit side that results in step count discrepancy between the Fitbit device and the app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem. So far, we haven't seen a timeline for the fix.

From what I understand, this is a rather complex issue. The issue affects multiple devices, it's not consistent, and it's not easily reproducible. For example, on most days, my device and app show the same number of steps. Every now & then, I'll see a step count discrepancy between my device and the app. Sometimes my device has more steps. Other times, there are more steps in the app. I've also seen where my step counts are in sync until later in the day as well as my steps are out of sync until later in the day, when they match up again. I don't envy the team trying to investigate this issue and figure out the solution.
