I'd love a place to log blood pressure in the Fitbit app to allow a single location to track most health metrics would be awesome! Especially now that I can track blood glucose there as well.
@AshevilleDeni I would not expect it anytime soon. This group has been asking for the past several years. Fitbit seems to have other features/issues they are dealing with. It is what it is, but thanks for asking..
I’m able to link Fitbit to my doc’s portal to monitor blood pressure, weight, & blood glucose. I was shocked to find that I can’t manually log BP :(. It’s a given! Please add that for manual tracking. Would rather have that than “Time To Get Moving” tracker.
BP is so important and so is blood sugar. Both of these and so many other trackable health items. Unfortunately Fitbit is a company that claims to want to be a great health info company that doesn't practice what they claim. It would be so very easy to create a few fields and link them to a new page in the existing database. Just look at their premium setup. It is a roughly 100 dollars for six months Canadian for what. I soon realized that I bought a sense watch for the right to see my data on paper. I can't wait for another competitor to have a better offering it could be done easily by looking at how fitbit is screwing up their chance.
I have the Fitbit Inspire. My ONLY problem with it is that I cannot see the screen in the day light. I love all the features but at this time, I really, really need to monitor my blood pressure. I would rather stick with the Fitbit brand but may have to go to another with BP features. 😞 With Christmas coming up, a smart watch with a BP feature will be on my list.
I agree, regarding blood pressure is extremely important I don’t understand why Fitbit doesn’t add that feature. Keep in mind any device that says they can take your blood pressure when you hold it over your arm is miss leading you. That’s not how blood pressure is read. But it be nice to be able to record it.
Really Fitbit? Just because out of "millions" of users only shy of 200 upvotes for this feature does not mean it isn't needed. Ask people 100 years ago if a watch that counted steps or heartbeats was needed? You can not seriously call yourself a health conscious company without this simple to add feature. You have menstrual monitoring and half the population never menstruates in their life. I agree for some women it is very important. Glucose?? Really?? You think that is MORE important? I'm sure it is to some (a few), yet you took away blood pressure?? Your choices here do not reflect your brand values.
That is fine @Rich_Laue, your reply clearly states that fitbit does not value the customers it has. I will be returning the watch today based largly on your disrespectful comment. You are correct, 200 of 29 million is not that many. How many of that 29million speak english and will post on this site??? How many of them would like it but don't bother contacting you? Also remember that between 2 and 4% of unhappy customers never even contact a business they are unhappy with. Also remember, that out of over 7 Billion people on the planet, you are only ONE. Less than 1% of 1% of 1% who are speaking up to support the removal of this coveted feature. Don't bother responding to this post as it won't be read by me because my company realizes that statistically you are unimportant
I use Google Drive Sheets to track bp but I would love to have Blood Pressure Log in the fitbit app just like the Blood Glucose Log, which I use and like a lot. That's my One-Stop-Shop dream.
Not sure who is getting the notifications on this, but CronMeter has the ability to track blood pressure and a allows for customizable biometrics. Also, the calorie/food tracking database is WAAAAYYYYY better than Fitbit. It's subscription based, but since it can import Fitbit data, I see no need to use the Fitbit app at all.
Since @Rich_Laue is constantly down on this suggestion (I.E. nothing positive to say, or even agree that it would be nice to have) I suggest abandoning the FitBit platform and move to one where the developers give the paying customers choices, instead of their canned tools.
Why is this feature still not available? It's crazy that we have charts to track useless things like SpO2, but don't have the ability to log our blood pressure.
I love how the excuse for not having the ability to track BP is the statistics on the use of the feature...😒 How many people actually use the other features, regularly? I've been a Fitbit user for years, loved the idea of tracking my water intake, but never did... and yet the feature has always been there...🤔 There aren't many people who have A-fib, but that didn't stop Fitbit from developing a way to track those numbers. Thank you for this feature, by the way. 👍 I have intermittent A-fib and love that I can track it without needing to be hooked up to a heart monitor. Now, I have recently been diagnosed as prediabetic with HBP. The glucose monitoring feature is what convinced me to purchase the Fitbit Sense. Imagine my surprise to find out there is no BP tracking feature?! All I want is one place for all of my health numbers, vitals & stats; then, I can take one sheet of paper to the doctor instead of 5.
The device doesn't need to take it for me! It doesn't stick me with a needle for my Blood Sugar, does it? No. It talks to the app I have for my Glucose Monitor... So, couldn't you do the same for Blood Pressure? These two things go hand in hand, if you're monitoring one, you ought to me monitoring the other. And the only reason you have for not having BP tracking is because, in the past, it didn't get used enough? So why even continue to develop the technology within the Fitbit OS?
Look, if you're truly interested in improving the health of others, then ANY and ALL features that could monitor that individuals health, regardless of the popularity of the feature, should be included.
Obviously there is a need to add (add back?) the option to log Blood Pressure.
It would be nice but not necessary if it could take the readings from other devices or apps such as those from Omron and other blood pressure monitor.
I don't suppose that Fitbit wants to talk about the study they were doing on taking blood pressure using Pulse Arrival Time (PAT). The test was done using some users of the Fitbit Sense, which I own. Even if could only give some warning its important to people like myself with hypertension who sometimes find themselves with higher readings then it should be even when taking are normal medication. If I missed a thread on this let me know.
Yes I am also quite surprised that given how advanced it is at this point that even manual logging of blood pressure isn't a choice. I would not mind at all having to calibrate against a cuff and if there was some reading that was directionally correct it would be an excellent feature.
This is my 6th (or more) Fitbit device. In a year or so if it's not looking like that's going to be an option I'll be looking at other platforms.
Yeah, the best fitness watch in the market but some heavy flaws. I think most users would welcome the ability manually stick in BP numbers. If we can do it for food we can do it for Blood pressure. As far as to moving to other platforms, none of the good ones have a battery that last more than a day (talking to you apple watch). And the ones that claim to last a few days only get that stretch when they turn off all far too many features.
BTW, I am on my 4th fitbit but I have purchased two for my wife and one for my sister. Eventually the competitors are going to catch up and then it will be a different ball game
Hi @FeleciaB, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to log your blood pressure on the Fitbit app with us. Because this idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote.
