Add POSB for Fitbit Pay

Please include more banks into your Fibit Pay (POSB, Maybank, Citibank, AMEX, etc.). Having 2 banks for Singapore users just doesn't cut. This is pretty critical for joggers who only wear their watches during runs and bring nothing else.

Hi @Walse! Thanks for sharing those ideas. We wanted to let you know that one of the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Feature Suggestions Board. You can see it here:

Fitbit pay Availability in Malaysia

Citibank credit support for Fitbit Pay

Hong Kong - FitBit Pay - support all AMEX cards

You also had shared a unique suggestion, so we have retitled and relabelled your original post here to reflect that idea. Please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for.

Thanks for participating in Feature Suggestions!

I think fitbit should try to implement this. Majority of Singaporeans use DBS/POSB Debit/Credit cards and I am pretty sure they are unaware they have a voice here to show support for an action on this platform! Hope there could be some considerations for this as I bought my Versa with the intention of using Fitbit Pay and realising that it only supports less popular banks in Singapore.

Hi, I’ve seen another user commented similarly to what I’ve suggested. That was 2018. I’ve suggested again in 2019 February. Almost half a year gone, are there any updates to this suggestion? POSB and DBS are staple banks of Singapore. Please seriously consider this, Fitbit.

Thanks!

Hi, I am a user of charge 3 and goes with the special edition with the intention of using Fitbit pay. I only realised I cannot use my bank (POSB/DBS) with it. This definitely handicapps my use of fitbit. I would really appreciate if this bank can be added soon and would benefit many users like me. Thanks

After the SimplyGo introduction in Singapore. We need DBS on Fitbit. I am thinking of moving to Apple Watch if it does not happen soon.

I will also return my Fitbit Versa unless DBS is added to Fitbit pay in the near future. I find it hard to understand how you don't have possibly the most used local bank signed up.

Any updates?

Please get DBS in supported bank list. It is one of the largest bank in Singapore. You are seriously missing out on a very big customer base here. I am a Versa-special-edition user, and felt disappointed after finding that I cannot use the FitbitPay feature with DBS.

Please get the Fatbit authority to include POSB/ DBS bank into the Fitbit Pay in Singapore.

Almost 90% of Singaporean use the above banks. Otherwise, Fitbit is going to lose many future and existing customers in Singapore including myself to Sumsung or Apple watch. Thinking of switching to Apple Watch who has done their homework reserch and supported the most popular bank in Singapore which is POSB/ DBS bank. Dissappointment if no action is taken by Fitbit or the department in charge.

I am also a user of DBS / POSB. Also my wife has a DBS account and we are fit bit users.

We need the support of major Singapore banks mainly:

1: DBS Bank

2: POSB Bank

Samsung Gear and Google Pay on Wear OS supports more banks than Fitbit Pay, there are no incentive from choosing Fitbit pay in comparison two the other two, which also support health tracking features. Please include more banks to Fitbit pay, if you plan on competing with the other competitors.

On 29Dec2019, I just bought the Versa 2 and very excited. After find out it does not support POSB/DBS bank. Now I feel regret buying it due to cannot use in fitbitpay. Overall the watch is good, the track your sport things etc. except the fitbitpay. Should buy the cheaper one for sport use only. I purposely buy it for fitbitpay function. Kind disappointed for the Versa 2, I thinking to sell it off in 2nd hand on the Carousell now. Hopefully fitbit can come good news for this issues.

Hi calvin initially i had the same issue as you. Posb/dbs bank dont support fitbit yet but i managed to use this digital banking called revolut. You just have to create an account, identif yourself using your iC OR passport, once verified youll be able to topup money onto the account and create a virtual card to link to your fitbit pay. Opening the account is free, do take a look. Right now im using revolut for fitbit pay and its working fine for tapping on sbs buses and Mrt

It’s been a while since I started the topic to add POSB and DBS.

Fitbit had been disinterested to listen despite numerous reports.

Just to share, I’ve abandoned the Fitbit system and moved on. Maybe when the “time” is right, I will then reconsider again to use Fitbit products.

Until then, good luck to everyone who is still hoping for the 2 basic banks to be incorporated into the watches.

Happy 2020, cheers! 😉

Hey Moderators @YojanaFitbit @MarreFitbit @LizzyFitbit @JuanFitbit@AlejandraFitbit

Firstly, thanks for all your amazing work in responding to all these community threads, great stuff!

With new initiatives like the one below from the Singapore Government promoting Fitbit aggressively, could we have Fitbit take a closer look into integrating Fitbit pay with all DBS and POSB card holders please? We already have close connections between Fitbit and the Singapore government in coming up with initiatives like these so something simple like adding a few options to Fitbit pay shouldn't be that hard.

In having lived here for almost 30 years, I can confidently say that 9 out of every 10 Singaporeans carry a card from DBS or POSB. Appreciate more attention to this post, thanks!

Hi @YojanaFitbit , so what is the status update it’s been a year you guys has reviewed.

It's very glad to use Versa but two things interrupts me always. First thing's Fitbit Pay which not yet supported in India which is bit difficult and second thing's music control. When I play the music from my Versa(not from my mobile) by connecting Versa to my Apple Airpods I can't control the volume and it sets to max. Please try to fix the issue which is arise or already there ASAP. Rather than these two things Versa is way.

Hi @KedarKadam, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to use Fitbit Pay on India. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request. About your other request, please check this other suggestion: Proper compatibility with Apple AirPods to make Ionic's music volume and play/pause controls work.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

Hi @YojanaFitbit look like you have just ignore my comment and others people comment on adding a Fitbit pay POSB bank in Singapore. May I know what is the status. There is no update since the community has requested.

I have been a fitbit user for 6 years and just got the Versa2. I'm also very disappointed I can't use my DBS or POSB cards on Fitbit pay. Can we please have an update?
