Anyone working on the flashlight app for Charge 5? It'd be very useful. My cheap xiaomi band has that function built-in. Thanks.

My olde father badly needs a flashlight on his wrist. Please knock that out as soon as you can.

Preferably a unique gesture to activate it, instead of swiping, but I'll take what I can.

Hi @LateWalking if Fitbit were to incorporate a flashlight on the device, the light would be small and it would deplete the battery rapidly. Why not buy your father a "wrist flashlight" as there are many of them out there.

We all have smartphones with flashlights near at hand, and for known needs, a real flashlight is always better, but that is not the same as one that is always on hand. Sometimes it was crazy handy on my Versa to have a flashlight app, and I miss it on my Charge 5. It does not need to be more than the Versa one was, just an app with a white screen that can tone down to shades of grey for less brightness. I know it kills the battery fast, but when you need it, that's an ok tradeoff.

I agree this flashlight option would be great and I too have it on other devices. Saves always carrying a mobile. A simple white screen option should work as a flashlight. Will look forward to this 👍🏻

Also backing this. It would be a great addition, and I would accept this to have some impact on my battery as I'll only use it occasionally. I'm already using my fitbit like this, it's just not very bright, so a white screen would do.

I like this possible feature. Needs to be activated by some sort of gesture (triple tap?) and could turn off after a configurable time.

How is this not available already, such a simple app shouldn't take 2 years to implement.

Hi, I have a question want to ask you all, what you think about an update and or app.
First of all I want to say that I have already been in contact with people at Fitbit they said that if the post on this forum has enough likes then this will be an update they will implement.
Back back to the idea: that in the menu on your Fittbit you can select l

@FlashlightWrist  there are quite a few suggestions of this sort already. If you search, you can find them and vote. With so many different threads started, it's unlikely that it will get sufficient votes to get attention.  This one - you vote for it?

I also would love to see this added.  The battery usage would be nearly non existent in comparison to the few seconds you would use this feature (find a keyhole etc..).  Considering how long the battery lasts on Charge 5, this would just be a very basic app that would come in handy when needed.

I'm planning to change my old huawei and I really like the fitbit charge 5. It seems simple yet functional (I'd like to have nfc in my watch) with a good battery life. However, I use a flashlight on my old huawei daily so I'm really hesitant to buy this model as it has no such function. This forum thread is kinda old, is there any new plans to add flashlight to this model? (or not to add at all – because that would help me to decide which model to choose).
