Allow multiple devices on the same account (Sense/Versa series, Inspire, Charge & Luxe)

Be allowed to have both a Fitbit Versa and a Fitbit Ionic on the same account so you can easily switch between them.

I would like to have more than one fitbit on my account, such as a charge and a Luxe.

I'm about to order the charge 5 but hesitate because of this horrible situation and would love to be able to switch between my numerous Fitbits (Alta hr, charge 2, charge 3, versa and inspire 2) currently I can only have the inspire 2, the Alta hr (which I rarely use) and the charge 2 (which I only use while the inspire 2 is charging)..the versa no longer syncs and the charge 3 screen is not visible outside so they are just collecting dust...  @LizzyFitbit  or any other moderator out there, can you at least give us a yes or no answer and not leave us hanging? And please don't refer me to the original post that has this request since 2014!! Thanks!!

So frustrating to see this continuing to be ignored. Has anyone tried complaining about this on Twitter? I'm not on there or else I would. Sometimes companies will respond better to a little social pressure.

I did complain on Twitter but got the standard reply that they will pass the suggestion on to the developers 🙄

EVERYONE should complain on twitter.  NO ONE outside of this forum sees these frustrated comments here.  POST TO TWITTER and at least they are publicly visible to anyone browsing the Fitbit feed.  Once you've been redirected here, I strongly encourage EVERYONE to then post to twitter.  Make enough noise there and maybe we'll get a real answer.

I am so mad to see that the same problem has existed since 2013 & all the complaints on the forum being ignored & brushed off! This box isn’t even big enough for me to detail the problem - says it all really!

The IOS app only allows one unit to be registered to a user, which means that switching unit entails fully "initial setup" of new unit into the app/account. Enabling several units registered will allow me, as a user, to have one unit for specific activities.

HI @CoachB67 -  there is another approach.

It is to have 2 accounts [even if not ideal] - you simply logout of one and login the other. Works well with a Versa and a Sense. You also get a pair and link popup, if you head to the home screen without closing the app. This ensures you get connected quickly.

If you adopt this approach install the SimpleCheckUp app. This will tell you directly on the watch when you last synced  and if its connecting to the Fitbit App, so you don't need to get your phone out. It reminds you when to sync so you don't lose data [about 5 days for a Versa if used simply]

I previously ran a Charge 2 and a Sense device side by side without issue, switching depending on the use (eg. some sporting activites it was safer to use the smaller Charge form factor than a large screened watch). I purchased a Charge 4 to add dedicated gps tracking. Now I have to set up each device (notifications, etc) every time I switch.

I liked having 2 trackers a sense for every day life and a charge 2 for work (incase my roughy life broke it)

The title says it, really. It is not currently possible to add more than one fitbit to the account if they both use the gallery (in other words, all fairly recent fitbits).

Hello-

I have been a Fitbit customer for more than 6 years.

I would like to buy a Charge 5 but also want to keep using my Fitbit Ionic.

This appears to be impossible because when I try to add a "Charge 5" to my account, it does not allow both - it only allows me to switch to the new device.

Hi @VinceFF, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the possibility of allowing more than one device on the same account. As you mentioned earlier, you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time.

I noticed that a similar feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here, this helps to keeps the boards more organized. Make sure to add your vote as well to support this suggestion, this helps the team of developers to keep track of popularity and demand over time.

I'd like to see the ability to link more than one "Gallery Enabled" Fitbit. I'm not sure why having apps support limits us to one device per account, and most new models are all Gallery enabled.

It would appear fitbit has been working on "adding this support" since 2014, but has failed to deliver this feature while releasing multiple new products.
