Flip screens for left-handed people Fitbit Sense/Versa Smartwatches

In order for the button to be on the correct side for left-handed people wearing the device on their right hands, allow for the screen to be flipped when the setting for the hand is on left-handed.

This is one of the easiest things to fix, yet it has not been fixed after, what? 5 years? I didn't even think about this since, IT SEEMS LIKE COMMON SENSE? Screen rotation is a must. The button is really awkwardly placed and when I wear it on my right wrist. Augh...

I got the fitbit sense 2 days ago. I took it for granted that the screen could be flipped. I'm planning to sell it now because fitbit has not only failed to implement this feature but apparently not even given an explanation as to why they can't or won't. As a computer scientist, this makes no sense to me.

Yep. I realized I could turn the watch 180° to get the button the elbow side so that my thumb would press it. But then everything would be upside down. I definitely think there needs to be a setting to rotate the screen.

Users should have the ability to flip/rotate their watch screens for wearing on their right wrist, specifically Sense Fitbits.

This is an inappropriate response. This has been an issue for years and there is no support or help for left-handed individuals? Absolutely terrible customer support. You will lose customers because of this...

I am also left handed, and would like to see this feature.

This is a good idea. I would love for this to be available on versa 2 also.  I would like to suggest to be able to select screen orientation in 90 degree options.

Have the ability to switch the orientation of the watch face, for right-hand vs left-hand users.

Could we please have an option to flip screen for left handed wearing of versa 3 .

Please make this happen! The watch is useless when worn on the right hand.

Please consider the screeen-rotation as a bug, not a feature. A lot of users are disappointed for not solving this easy-to-do situation.

an answer from Fitbit would be also welcomed.

Also left handed and have this issue. Even having a setting to turn off the side press buttons would be great if you cant flip the screen

When a volunteer can do it, why can FitBit not?  It just doesn't work for left handed users while the simpleclock does for Sense but not Sense2.  It should be a simple fix.  http://guytec.com/Fitbit/SimpleClock.htm has a fix for Sense but not Sense 2.  Fitbit should be able to fix over a weekend.

Hi @HermanT - you need SimpleClockPro-L for the Sense/Versa 3 - Fitbit hasn't authorised developers to make anything for the Sense 2 yet.

Because the Sense 2/Versa 4 has a physical button, it may be less of a problem, though why Fitbit can't provide the rotation function is a mystery.

As you say if a developer can do it then why can't they.

Joining in with this request for a screen flipping to wear watch on left wrist. I keep on pressing the button when lifting my hand, unlocking the watch and triggering the long press shortcut, to the extent that I had to disable the long press shortcut. Bit of a shame really.

I wasn't aware the screen flipping existed in previous models but it's great news as this should be fixed easily.

Thanks!

I agree with the request, it's a real pain to press the button currently because there's no way of doing it without looking like a contortionist! The usual phone style orientation change shouldn't be necessary but a fixed setting for wrist worn should accompany the dominant/non dominant option.

This is especially important when physical buttons are in the picture!

I would love to see an option to flip the screen on the Sense 2 so that when I wear it on my left wrist, the button can be on the right side of the screen vs now, where it is only on the left.

This probably would be a simple thing to implement, yet has been missing from the beginning on every Fitbit tracker.

I wear my tracker on my right wrist, and constantly hit the button when I don't want to.
