Log Body Temperature and other health related events

Why not just add a tile in the dashboard and app where people can manually record things they want to follow.

For example, most people have a digital thermometer and can take their own temperature but can't record the results in the Fitbit app. Odd as it's an essential health element.

There may be other elements, such as taking medication, or other events important for people to record pertaining to their particular health.

How hard can it be to add tiles for user input which could be enormously useful to all.

Even better to add temperature sensing to devices, which may not be absolutely accurate would provide a trend over time.

A sudden rise could indicate an illness. Particularly useful for Covid-19 detection.

Hi @JustMike75, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to log your body temperature on the Fitbit app. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

Not only temperature can be very helpfull, if users own theirselves blood pressure measuring devices, the output data together with heart beat rate etc can be highly usefull!  I use a wheelchair and a pushtracking device/feature would be a very welcome adding, which is already possible with the used standard sensors in the smartwatches.. Just a question of programming/developing.

I would like the ability to add custom fields for tracking: I have a condition called Phenylketonuria which limits the amount of protein I can have and each month I have to track my blood phenylalanine levels.  As this is a rare condition (1 in 16,000 in the UK for example), I would not expect it to be part of the Fitbit stats inventory, but having a custom field would allow me to track.

LS,

indeed one (or more) extra free-to-use field would make sense. That must be
simple to implement.....?
Luxurious possibilities, as to take these data along in (time related)
graphs is a highly appreciated wish!

I was just about to suggest this feature. This would be very helpful, to e.g. be able to manually log body temperature a few times a day to monitor fever, daily to track ovulation. Being in quarantine from fever issues this would be perfect, I haven't found other apps with this feature.

The ability to track mood and other common health things would be great.

Could the forehead temperature be entered and so tracked during those times under Covid?

Hi everyone, and thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on the Fitbit app. Now you can log your temperature and symptoms daily, see your trends and quickly view changes over time. For temperature, you can enter results from your own thermometer. For other symptoms, you can record signs of illness, such as cough, headache, etc. To add this tile to the Today page, just go to Discover > Health & Fitness Stats > Temperature and Symptoms.

@Guy_, in recognition of your excellent suggestion, each of your votes will now count as 5 votes – you have the power! Thank you for sharing this idea, and thanks to everyone who voted and commented for your enthusiasm which has now materialized for everyone’s benefit. We hope you all enjoy this new addition to the Fitbit product or service!

I don't see the "Temperature and Symptoms" option in Health & Fitness - do I have to update the app somehow?

I don't think there is one, it's the point of the feature suggestion, to add the function in the app.

It says above it has been added: " We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on the Fitbit app. Now you can log your temperature and symptoms daily, see your trends and quickly view changes over time. Maybe it's only for US clients, pit's not listed under health & fitness stats.

Only the standard tiles I already had are listed.

I'm in the US, and I don't see it either.

This feature is not available for me yet either. Is it iOS or Android only?

Add a place to log body temp on the FitBit app dashboard. The thread in the community discussion said it was added, but a month and a half later, it's still not there

A Misc notes tile where we could log what we need to for that day would be very helpful because of the many current limitations Fitbit App has.
1. Can’t manually log mindfulness
2. Can’t log temperature (even though a forum said this feature has been added)
3. When driving is logged it says I have gotten my weekly exercise goal when I haven’t
